The Food Truck Carnival, which just opened in April of this year, is already a resident favorite in Anchorage. KTVA CBS 11 reported that Anchorage residents came out in droves for the first carnival, despite very cold temperatures.
It’s no wonder that the Food Truck Carnival is so popular. The food trucks boast delicious, quick fare at reasonable prices.
The carnival started with five food trucks, but more are expected to join as summer continues. The food trucks and a sample of their menus are as follows:
Urban Bamboo: Beef ribeye skewer, seafood combo with sticky rice and grilled vegetables, fish collar soup, and fried banana with vanilla ice cream
Kastle’s Kreations: Cupcakes with flavors including chocolate, vanilla, turtle, and Oreo cream pie
Wheel Good Food: Two different trucks (Bombolina and Sonho) offering different menus, which include a reindeer sausage sandwich and polenta fries (Bombolina) as well as an Alaskan fish taco and portabella mushroom burger (Sonho)
Momma’s Grizzly Grub: Chicken, beef, pork, and vegetarian street tacos and loaded chips & salsa
Tiers from Heaven: Cupcakes with flavors including Twix, chocolate birthday cake, and key lime
We hope that you and your family take advantage of this exciting new culinary opportunity in Anchorage this summer! The Food Truck Carnival will take place every Thursday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. until September 26 in the parking lot next to Chilkoot Charlie’s.
